Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-04-19

At Calcflux, we respect your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

Calcflux does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) directly. All conversions and calculations happen entirely in your browser — no data is sent to our servers.

We use the following cookies. Essential cookies manage your preferences (such as dark mode and locale) and are strictly necessary for the site to function — they are exempt from consent requirements under GDPR and ePrivacy regulations.

Cookies used by Calcflux
Cookie NameProviderPurposeExpiry
hmt_id, hc_accessibilityhCaptchaUsed by hCaptcha to distinguish humans from bots when you interact with the contact formSession to 30 days

Local Storage

Calcflux uses your browser's localStorage to remember lightweight user preferences and recent inputs. The keys we use are `theme` (light or dark mode), `calcflux-time-format` (12-hour or 24-hour clock), `calcflux-world-clock-cities` (pinned cities on the world clock), `calcflux_color_history` (recent entries in the color converter), and `calcflux_install_dismissed` (records when you dismiss the install-app prompt). Unlike cookies, localStorage data never leaves your device and has no automatic expiry; you can clear it at any time through your browser's settings.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate, cookie-free traffic measurement. It does not store cookies, does not collect personal information, and does not share data with third parties for advertising purposes.

Service Providers

Calcflux uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy. We do not intentionally send your conversion inputs or calculation results to any of them.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, or delete any personal data we hold. Since Calcflux does not collect PII directly, there is typically no personal data to retrieve. If you believe we hold any data about you, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Calcflux is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our contact form, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Calcflux may contain links to external websites for reference purposes. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those sites and are not responsible for them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Calcflux after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
